Philosophy:
Many
people think that recovery is simply a matter of not using drugs.
They consider a relapse a sign of complete failure, and long periods
of abstinence a sign of complete success. AAFS has found this
perception simplistic. Complete and continuous abstinence, however,
in close association and identification with other females, is the
best foundation for growth and success in recovery.
The women' program is an abstinence-based program focusing on
stabilization, growth, change, trust, preventing relapse, gaining
balance and moving forward in life.
