Program
Links
The Family programs of the African
American Counseling Center (AACC) work to:
- Strengthen the family unit
- Prevent placement of children outside the home
- Provide parent education, family/individual
counseling and family support groups and activities
- Enable families to cope with issues in a healthy
manner
Counseling
- Individual/Marriage/Family Counseling
- Parent Education
- Family Violence Advocacy and Counseling
- Male/Female Support Groups
- Walk-in Counseling
Referrals for the Counseling Center are through
self-referral, schools, community organizations and
county agencies. Services can be provided to families in
a range of four weeks to two years, depending on family
need and program involvement.
